The work (and the grading) for this course are based on a set of ‘deliverables.’ The timeline outlined and the final materials to be turned in are crucial for two reasons. One is that it is incredibly easy to get behind while making a non-fiction film. The other is that the end result of this class is not necessarily a completed film, but rather a film that is ready for post.
The first stage of pre-production is the creation of a written proposal. Here are my guidelines:
